St Andrews and St Aidans are in the process of becoming Onewa Community Church.
2021 Colin’s term as Intentional Minister was extended so he could help the two parishes to merge and call a new minister.
2020 Rev Colin Gordon was re-appointed to his Intentional ministry in May 2020 as Stated Supply Minister for St Aidans and St Andrews for a further year, while the joint Ministry Settlement Board proceeds to find and nominate new ministry personnel for the two parishes. 2018-9 Colin was inducted to St Andrews on 30th April 2018. He lives at Tomarata and claims the travel is far less than at his last parish – Central Australia – where he had to fly to parts of his parish. Before that he was a chaplain to the Royal New Zealand Navy and in parish ministry at Whakatane.
Colin’s sermons help his listeners to understand how to accept and reflect God’s love and to live in the 21st century according to Jesus’ teachings.
